Are you already curious about local stores, activities or do you like to plan some excursions in advance? We will give you some links and tips. There are also brochures and flyers available in the house. There are more restaurants than I have listed here. These are just a few suggestions. Have you discovered one that you were satisfied with? Let us know and we will add it to the list. Always check whether they are still open to visit, so that you do not find yourself in front of closed doors. We try to keep the list as up to date as possible.

CITIES, VILLAGES AND CULTURE

Rocamadour:

a real recommendation is the town of Rocamadour! It is a village built on rocks. A nice walk, souvenir shops and a pinch of culture make this excursion worthwhile.

Cahors:

located at a distance of 20 km and has a lot to offer. Cosy shopping streets in the centre, ride a train through the city or take a boatride on the river. The local market in the summer months is also nice to visit.

Moissac:

has an abbey that is worth a visit. Afterwards you can enjoy a drink or do some shopping in the car-free shopping street. If you want a delicious lunch, I recommend Le kiosque de l'Uvarium located at the water.

Saint-Cirq-Lapopie:

a popular medieval village with narrow streets and in the summer often lots of open-air spectacles.

Lauzerte:

named as one of the most beautiful villages in France. You'll find nice terraces, markets, a nice walk through the village, exhibitions,...

- Auclair de la Brune: Discover all about cheese at this family farm and cheese dairy. You can already visit the website for more information: www.auclair-delabrune.fr

Montcuq:

A weekly market at a 10 minute drive. You can find delicious cheeses, local products, souvenirs,...  Cozy terraces and opportunities to have a bite to eat (recommendations: Le 6 or Café du Centre)

There also is a beautiful lake with a small beach. The lake has very clean water with a water course for those who love some water fun.
